👋 Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ByteKit Sales and Inventory Tracker ("the App"), developed and maintained by ByteKit PH. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

📄 License & Use

ByteKit PH grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or operate for your own business.

The App may be tried free for a 60-day trial period with full feature access.
After the trial, continued use requires a paid license, sold per device at a fixed price directly by ByteKit PH.
An access code is bound to the device it's activated on. Sharing, reselling, or transferring access codes without authorization is not permitted.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the App outside of the official distribution channel.

💳 Payments

License purchases are sold directly by ByteKit PH and are final once activated, except where required otherwise by applicable law. Pricing and payment methods are communicated directly to you at the time of purchase.

📊 Your Data & Backups

ByteKit is a local-first application — your business data (products, sales, customers, expenses) is stored on your own device by default. This means:

You are responsible for your own data. ByteKit PH does not store a copy of your business data on any server, and cannot recover it for you if your device is lost, damaged, or reset without a backup.
We strongly recommend using the App's Export feature or the optional Google Drive Backup regularly.
If you enable Google Drive Backup, backups are saved directly to your own Google Drive account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

            Important: ByteKit PH is not liable for data loss resulting from
            device damage, loss, theft, uninstallation, or failure to maintain backups.
        

🧾 Receipts & Tax Compliance

            ByteKit is NOT BIR-accredited. This App is a sales and inventory
            tracking tool only — it is not an accredited point-of-sale or invoicing system
            for tax purposes.
        

Receipts generated by the App are labeled as internal sales slips and are not valid as official receipts for BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) or other government tax reporting purposes. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable tax, invoicing, and business regulations in your jurisdiction, independently of your use of the App.

🔌 Optional Connected Features

Certain features are optional and require your explicit action to enable:

Google Drive Backup — requires signing in with your Google Account. Governed by Google's own Terms of Service in addition to ours.
LAN Sync — connects multiple devices you own over your local network. ByteKit PH is not a party to this connection and does not have access to data exchanged this way.

⚠️ Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. ByteKit PH does not guarantee the App will be error-free or that any defect will be corrected immediately.

🚫 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ByteKit PH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost sales data, or business interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

🛑 Termination

ByteKit PH may suspend or revoke a license in cases of unauthorized use, fraud, or violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability) will continue to apply.

🔄 Changes to These Terms

ByteKit PH may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

⚖️ Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law principles.
